Daniel Wellington Watches

FAQS

Is my Watch Waterproof?

Found on the back of the watch case, your watch will be either 3ATM or 10ATM.

3ATM - Rain/splash resistant but should not be exposed directly to water. We recommend taking off these watches before showering, bathing, swimming, or engaging in any activity that may involve prolonged exposure to water.

10ATM - Can withstand showering and casual swimming (swimming at surface level). We do not recommend diving or high-impact watersports with these watches. After contact with salt or chlorine water, please rinse in tap water.

Kindly note that water damage due to exposure to a higher water pressure than indicated on the watch is not covered under our 24-month warranty.

How Long Should My Battery Last?

Batteries fitted in our timepieces are expected to last between 2 to 4 years depending on external factors such as, but not limited to: external temperature, humidity, air pressure, etc. If the watch stops moving, contact your local Daniel Wellington retailer, Daniel Wellington customer support or get help from a local watchmaker.

What Does the Warranty Cover?

Daniel Wellington Warranty terms.

How do I Adjust the Iconic Link Straps?

Due to the Iconic Link’s unique design, professional tools are required to add or remove links in the bracelet. If you need the watch adjusted to fit your wrist perfectly, please feel free to pop into John Taylor Jewellers or your local watch repair shop to have this done for you.

An additional 2 links + 3 pins are included with your timepiece inside of the display cushion.

MATERIALS

Metal

All our metal watches are made with 316L surgical steel. We’ve chosen this material for its purity, durability and remarkable anti-corrosive properties.

Plating

Our gold and rose gold products are plated with real gold. We use a technique called ion-plating, a considerably more sustainable plating method compared to traditional plating practices.

Glass

The glass of the watch is made from hardened mineral glass. It is resistant against normal wear and tear but should be handled with care.

Nato

Our NATO straps are crafted from a polyester weave with a stitched thread construction. Our NATO straps are made from high-quality recycled polyester.

Leather

All of our leather straps are made from genuine Italian leather. As leather is an organic material, all watch straps will vary in grain and texture. Changes in hue from regular wear are a natural part of the ageing process.

Ceramic

Ceramic is lightweight, scratch-resistant and maintains a color that never fades. Please be advised that hard impacts can cause ceramic to chip or crack, although this is not a common occurrence.

Synthetic rubber “fkm”

Our rubber straps use fluoroelastomer (FKM). FKM is known for its hi-tech properties; it’s durable, temperature/chemical resistant and has a high-quality surface finish, texture and weight. Please be advised that FKM can break if pulled too hard, although this is not a common occurrence.
